Say what?

Crazy things you hear during a "Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged)" rehearsal:

"The bone goes in the pie, along with the hand and the severed head."

(Talking about props for the "Titus Andronicus" cooking show)

I really should keep a list.

I know.

Though my first thought was, "Things you REALLY HOPE you only hear at a theatre...." ;)

That is one of the many reasons I love this show.

Of course, my dad did it while I was sick with a long running illness in high school. I was running 105 degree fevers, and couldn't be left home alone. So, I attended every rehearsal and performance. Every single one. With that fever.

Can you imagine what that did to my poor brain?

Oh, my goodness. *pets*

The show is crazy enough as is...I can't imagine it on a fever-addled brain.

It really is great, isn't it?

"What do you do?"
"Well, I put on my underwear, and dance with gorgeous girls and sexy guys."
"Oh, so you're a stripper?"
"No, I'm an actor."

Awesome. :)

You should try being in charge of the show when a college theatre is going it. It only gets worst, Much worst.

OH JOY!!! We bought a DVD of the Reduced Shakespeare Company's performing the complete works and were soooooo In love with it we've forced nearly all of our friends to watch it, too.

Do you know when the show starts? Have you posted that and I just missed it? If there's a way to get up there I would absolutely LOVE to see it!!

Hey! I didn't post when it started. It runs Thursdays-Sundays, July 6 through August 5 with a preview on July 5. I know that's next week, but it runs for a month. Let me know if you think you'll be making a road trip!

www.shakespearetavern.com for more info

thanks for the link!

Ha! I told John about it and he's so excited. We are going to try to go. It would have to be a Saturday since I can't get off during registration. I'm going to check with the rest of the gang to see if anyone else wants to come with us - maybe we can get the whole Florida crowd there :)

And Rosencrantz next year!! Huzzah!!

Hi! A while back you commented that you might like to march with the fairy group in the parade at Dragoncon. If you are still interested check in for info and let me know at [livejournal.com profile] dcfairies. :) I know you were thinking about pirates too, such hard decisions-- hehe

[identity profile] thedooz.livejournal.com 2007-07-01 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
actually that would be [livejournal.com profile] dconfairies. Sorry about the bad lj tag in prior post :)

I probably will be marching with the pirates, but I joined the community anyway, just in case there are other fairy meetups. I'm sure I'll be doing TinkerBell sometime during the weekend. :)
