I am not a bank. I am a box office attendant. DO NOT FUCKING PAY FOR YOUR STUPID $5.40 TICKET WITH A $100 BILL! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Or a sign that says, "We happily accept all large bills! Change from any bills over $20 will be given in the form of a reciept for your charitable donation to the Shakespeare Tavern.:
I would definatly talk to the powers that bee about a policy to Not accept 100 dollar bills. Because they could be counterfit and that would put you all out $100. Alot of places have policyies about 100's.
Oh, gawd, always, always, you have the guy who wants to look impressive and pulls out a $100 to buy something cheap. But debit cards are no improvement. When Terry (Raven's Nest) has to take one for under $10 she loses money.
I hate when people do that. Especially when they come into the like 10 mins after we open and pay with a $100 bill! You know I have no money in this thing cause you are the only customer in the store this early! I try to never carry anything over a $20 with me when I carry cash. I don't even like to carry $50s.
I must say whenever we get work checks cashed the bank sticks us with $100s and $50s, its embarissing whenever we have to use them, and we eventually do as we run out of smaller bills quickly over the two weeks between paychecks
If you were part time at my college you got a $50 cash drawer. Helping Children Cope with Divorce classes cost $25.
Someone came in to sign up for a $25 Coping with Divorce and wanted to pay with a $100 bill. She had a $50 cash drawer. She was by herself in the office. She was part time. She didn't have access to the vault, she had to shove her cash drawer under the inner door that's just enough room for a drawer (or the really skinny girl that works in the bookstore who squished under one day when I accidently locked it prematurely...) and lock the big door when she left. There was no possibly way she could process it and the guy was furious. He ranted and raved but there was nothing he could do because it's a state mandated class for parents going through a divorce. So he had to go away and come back with change.
Honestly, who carries nothing but a $100 bill??? That's just stupid. And to be mean to someone who has no control over how much their company has decided to put in their cash drawer is so selfish and rude. I wish a knew a better word than rude. evil and stupid and ill-mannored and many other such adjectives.

A second guy came in and I told him I couldn't break it so he had to give me a credit card. HA!

Sometimes I even feel bad giving a cashier a $20 for a $5 purchase (but that's all the ATM will spit out)!

I honestly don't mind it for a larger purchase, but for $5? And when it happened so many times in a row for smaller purchases? It was just annoying.

The Best Solution:
Take note of the guys. Wait til each one leaves.
Then send your sweetie outside to MUG him!
Sorry, too much time being a pirate on a ship.
Arrrr!
