You know, I've never seen anyone dress up as Stevie Nicks. My friend Kathleen from UGA would have been proud, she listened to NOTHING but Stevie Nicks for about 2 years.

Hey, I've been wanting to get back into acting... I haven't done a show in 2 years and I am really jonesin'. What's the deal with The Shakespeare Tavern? Do they have auditions for smaller roles throughout the year or is everything decided at the Unifieds?

I haven't done a lot of theatre in Atlanta, so my resume isn't really very impressive, but I got skillz, yo.

Most of the time, our casting folks go to the Unifieds, and pull from there. We also have general auditions in the late spring. I know we'll be having some auditions coming up for "Cabaret," but I don't have any details yet.

A great resource is www.atlantaperforms.com. They have a weekly audition listing, updated every Monday.

There's also a yahoogroup for all sorts of theatre related stuff: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/atlantatheatre/
Everything from auditions, show announcements, theatrical discussion, playwriting competitions, and lots more, gets posted here.
