I always feel like I should have something profound to say before I update my journal. But, I really don't have anything profound to say right now. So why am I updating? I have no idea. Boredom, I guess.

I'm at work, but it's pretty slow today. Being a theatre in Midtown right near Music Midtown is very bad for business. Nobody wants to brave the traffic or the crowds. Though, I don't know how successful Music Midtown will be this weekend with all the rain forcast. Of course, that'll put a damper on Renn Fest as well. Thank goodness for the covered Pub! (Now if we could only get it enclosed and air-conditioned....)

Talking with [livejournal.com profile] ladychevalier and doing "Forum" again makes me realize that I really wish I could fit a dance class into my busy schedule. But every time I think I might have the opportunity, a show or other something comes up to fill the space of time. I love dancing, though, and I miss being able to do it on a regular basis. Alack, alack, alack.

Trying desperately to knock out whatever sinus thing has settled into my system. I'm not even sure whether it's allergy related, or a cold, or a sinus infection, or what. But I'm all sniffly and it's affecting my voice...which makes me even more thankful than I already was that there will be a full Three Quarters of an Ale this weekend. "Welcome to the Pete and Rosemary show! Ariana will be hiding in the corner playing her flute..." I feel much better today than I did yesterday, so hopefully if I can get one more decent night's sleep tonight I'll be okay tomorrow. Or at least my voice will be. *crosses fingers*

Okay...back to work....

Talking with you makes me want to fit theatre into my schedule around all the dance! But, last time I did that (that was Pippin in college), I ended up not dancing for about 2 1/2 months between rehearsals and the run of the show, and got so behind with the troupe... I totally understand what you mean about just not having time... but, I guess we're really lucky to be able to pursue the creative outlets that we have :) :)

I have my fingers crossed for ya that your sniffles go away!!! I hate that feeling- enough to be annoying but not quite enough to actually be *sick*... meaning you still have to everything as if you felt fine. Have fun in the rain at fest, if the universe decides to send that down :) I'm always torn over rain days- the patrons aren't out in droves, but I always have so much fun with the cast on those days!!!!!

if you did start taking dance classes, what kind of dance would it be?

Hope you feel better soon-- I'm dragging my mom up to the 'Fest on the 15th so be on the lookout for the two of us crazy people. ;)

ACK! Holy cow, I was suffering from that same thing LAST Friday!! I was able to go to bed early and I woke up feeling much better. I don't usually have allergies - never really have - so, not sure WHAT it was, but, most folks thought it was allergies. Okay, I'm not going to argue!

At any rate, hope you are feeling TONS better! Can't wait to see you again.

I wish I could fit both dance AND theater into my busy schedule of being a lazy ass! I'm lucky I get on my freaking treadmill. You girls are just WAYYYY too active for me! So, you have to have ONE lazy friend, right??
