The Shakespeare Tavern is offering 2-for-1 tickets to “Love’s Labour’s Lost” for the 7:30 PM performance on Friday, March 23, 2007. Come see this funny, charming love story, and help us fill our Friday night house! Call the box office at 404-874-5299 x0 or email boxoffice@shakespearetavern.com and say the password “Princess of France.”

Can three young men attempt to honor their pledge to avoid the opposite sex, food, drink and sleep, for the sake of becoming more intellectual and contemplative? Not in Shakespeare's world and certainly not at the Shakespeare Tavern! After three young women arrive on the scene, the result is far from a blissful pondering of noble deeds and nobler thoughts. Join us for Muscovites, masks and lessons about love in this lyrical comedy.

Offer good in any seating section (main floor, box seats, or balcony) on adult price tickets only. Showtime is 7:30 PM; seating begins at 6:15 and is first-come, first-served within the chosen section. Food and beverage are separate from the ticket price and optional, and not covered by this discount. Offer not valid for web sales or previously purchased tickets.

The Shakespeare Tavern is located at 499 Peachtree St, NE, Atlanta-four blocks south of the Fox Theatre and across from Crawford Long Hospital. For more information, including directions and parking, visit the Shakespeare Tavern website.

Apologies to everyone who sees this...well, all over the place, whereever I can think to post it!

Also, don't reply to me here to reserve tickets, as I will be away from computer access for the next several days. [livejournal.com profile] froofie and Redd are AWESOME to cover for me.

Help us fill our houses, please!

The Shakespeare Tavern is offering $10 tickets (plus tax) for any seating section (based on availability) to our performances of “Merchant of Venice” on Thursday October 12 and Friday October 13, 2006. Just call the box office at 404-874-5299 x0 or email at boxoffice@shakespearetavern.com and give the password “Shylock.”

Shows are at 7:30 PM both nights. Doors open at 6:15 and seating is first-come, first-served within the chosen section. Our kitchen will be open from 6:15 to 7:25 (discounts do not apply to any food or beverage purchases).

It’s a great show, so much so that we did it already last January and had to bring it back! Besides, where else can you enjoy a pint of ale, some shepherd’s pie, and Shakespeare, all in the same evening?

Visit www.shakespearetavern.com for more information.

Offer is not valid for online sales or for tickets already purchased.

Cross-posted wherever I can think to post! Sorry for anyone who gets this multiple times. :)

Hey all...

The Shakespeare Tavern is offering 2-for-1 tickets (adult price only) for the Sunday, Feb. 5 performance of "The Merchant of Venice." Simply call 404-874-5299 x0 or email boxoffice@shakespearetavern.com with the password "Touchdown." And please specify the seating section you prefer-main floor, box seats, or balcony.

Showtime Sunday is 6:30 PM; seating begins at 5:15 and is first-come, first-served within the chosen section.

For more information, visit www.shakespearetavern.com.

Food and beverage service available from 5:15 to 6:25. (The food is yummy! And no, I'm not just saying that because [livejournal.com profile] karmakeys is on my friends list!) This discount offer is not good on food/beverage sales, only tickets.

The offer is not valid on previously purchased tickets or on web sales.

Seriously, guys...if you haven't seen the show yet, and you're not going to be glued to the TV watching football on Sunday, come see this show. It's the best work I've ever seen from Doug Kaye (Shylock). As is not often the case with this particular show, there's not a real hero or villian...these characters aren't painted in shades of black and white...there are a lot of grey areas. It's entertaining, funny, poignant, and really makes you think.

ETA: Apologies to all who get this twice...I crossposted to [livejournal.com profile] taverntales. We need all the help we can get!
