Hmmmm...interesting...

Lovers
Primary Archetype
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So who is the lucky or unlucky partner? This is a life of unions and separations, of seeing yourself in the mirror of relationship. Friendships and relationships which end now will end simply because the lesson for both parties is over--endings in a Lover's life are D.O.A. and often traumatic. No resuscitating here!
Existing relationships that survive the Lover's test have been forged in a crucible of soul-communion --long live those relationships. Unions and partnerships also feature in this life. These run the gamut from birth of a child or grandchild to business partnership to marriage, to engagement, to the start of dating. These all share a common characteristic: they are your classic "soul mate", known-each-other-forever re-unions.

Expect to learn a lot, and over a lifetime, through these relationships. Unions in a Lovers life are about commitment at the soul level to furthering each other's growth by supporting, mirroring, shadowing each other: this is the cypress and the oak, side by side, sharing the same water, same sun, neither crowding the other. These are also your typical screaming Italian unions, in which fireworks are the spark that keep each other growing! Hot hot, cold cold, never lukewarm!

No Higher Archetype is attached to this life.

Thinking about that Tarot Card thing, and the response [livejournal.com profile] supergoober had to mine makes me wonder...

I didn't get one of those "higher path" cards. The reason on the website had to do with being a newer soul as opposed to an old soul.

My mom, [livejournal.com profile] crazyauntjaynie has always said I'm an old soul...and I think she'd know. I've always had an affinity for old Celtic myths and legends, and Mom swears I lived back then. I had a teacher in high school who always told me I looked like a Renaissance princess. Not that I'd want to go live back then, because I really like my modern conveniences, but it's interesting to think about.

Why are we drawn to certain people? Or interested in certain time periods? My Tia (mom's sister) is a huge Civil War buff and totally convinced she was a nurse back then.

Oh, bummer...I'd really like to post more about this, but I have to get back to work...

Meh.
