Long time no (real) update
Aug. 26th, 2004 05:07 pmYeah, I know...recently it's just been quizzes and silly things.
Mainly because I still don't have internet access at home, and have been away from my computer much of the time at work.
The good news is that I have three great guys filling in for me at the box office when I have to be in rehearsal. The even better news is that I'm back on salary and no longer on "only paid for the hours I'm actually at the box office."
Have started rehearsals for Much Ado...am very glad to have a full run of it this year, as I stepped in last year with only a few rehearsals to do 4 evening shows and 5 matinees. I just felt like I was getting a handle on the character and then we closed. Isn't that always the way? So I’m looking forward, with this past year’s experience, to having another shot.
I know I just had one, but I need a vacation. I’m already at the place where I feel so stressed out and like I have no time and the season has only just begun! We haven’t even started matinee weeks yet! Oh, I’m doomed….
So I entered a karaoke contest a couple weeks ago, and the finals are tonight. I have to run up to the bar after the show…the KJ has already agreed to let me sing last. My Dad is competing too…the grand price is $300. Wish me luck! (For all you out there who love karaoke…it’s a monthly thing, and going a couple weeks ago was a totally last minute decision…Gene literally called me on my way home from work and said “Get over here.”)
Am wishing I had more witty things to say, or something really profound, but my brain is fried at the moment. These long Tavern days will do that to a person.
