Good day, sunshine!
Mar. 13th, 2006 06:07 pmWell, yesterday was, anyway.
Spent a lovely afternoon enjoying the sunshine at Stone Mountain Park with Mel, Chris, Matthew, Nadine, Berg, Maddy, and Mommagorn. Had a fantastic picnic lunch on the lawn, and soaked up the sun. Nice change from my windowless cave at work. Rode the Skylifts up to the top of the mountain. Can't wait to see the group photo we took! :) All in all I enjoyed the day with some dear friends.
The show last night was fun, as well. House was only about half-full, and at first I thought the audience was asleep, but they woke up (or drank a lot) by Act 2. I got a HUGE audience reaction on my "painted maypole" line (which is my favoritest insult EVER!), heard volunteer Janet (ever my back-up when I'm being insulted for my small size by Lysander) comment from the back of the house when I get called a "dwarf." Had the cutest little girl in the audience (she was maybe 8 or 9?) who was getting all the jokes and was right there with us the whole time. Pyramus says "I see a voice" and she turns to her mother and says, "It's HEAR a voice". Too cute!
It was a very pleasant surprise to come home to Berg, Nadine, and Maddy paying us a visit! :) Wade and Berg already had guitars out, so I broke mine out as well when I got home and we jammed for a while until they had to leave to get back to Mel's. Hope all three of you had safe trips back home. Miss you all already!
Today, I managed to drop off my headshots for Unifieds and still get to the TQA photo session on time. Yay! One step closer to album completion!
Tonight-time to get some household chores done. Laundry and vacuuming, here I come!
