Went to see Return of the King last night for the second time since the midnight show on Tuesday. It's a record for me, it is, seeing a movie twice within a week of opening night.

Won't say anything spoliery just in case, but man, this movie rocks. If PJ doesn't get the Oscar, I don't know what's wrong with the universe.

And he probably won't get nominated, but I think Sean Astin has given the performance of a lifetime. He totally destroyed me, and I loved every minute of it!

But, man, the audience at the second showing was so strange! It was a packed theatre, a later evening showing, so I figured most of the folks were fans. Right? Well, not quite.

The couple behind me (who had brought their little kid! who should have been in bed) kept talking. The woman had absolutely no idea what was going on, and kept asking her boyfriend/husband/whatever stupid questions. Um, hello? The previous two movies are already out on DVD...might want to watch them FIRST! DUH!

And then the laughter, at the most inappropriate places. Oh, dear lord, don't laugh when Theoden is lying dying on the battlefield (spoiler). Just don't! You stupid, heartless people!

My wish...a big movie theatre, all my dear LOTR-geek friends and ONLY my LOTR-geek friends, for a private showing of ROTK. Hey, Santa, can I have that for Christmas? Or if not, can I at least have Elijah Wood under my Christmas tree?

YES!!!

OMG!! We went to see it at exactly the same time!!! And I thought the very same thing! Okay, so, we sat on the row at the walk way, but, these kids kept walking back and forth and I'm like - sit the fuck down you stupid people!!!! At least I had friends behind me, but, these two older men were in front of us and they were commenting and I was like SHUT UP!!!

Obviously, the people at the midnight showing were totally into the movie and no one made a sound at the inappropriate time and everyone obviously knew what was going on. On Friday it was NOT like that at all. Soooo, I'm going to wait for a couple of weeks when the theater will clear out and then go and see it again.

I'll watch TT again before I got and everything will just fall into place. One of the reasons I rarely go to the movies is because of stupid people who won't shut up! I almost killed two chicks who giggled and talked through most of "From Hell". I mean that movie was NOT funny! I rarely, very rarely ever speak my mind, but, I let those two bitches know that their jabbering was NOT appreciated. I know I should have gotten up and gotten a manager - since it was only them and us in the theater, but, I didn't. I went OFF on them at the end and the stupid chicks were like all shocked that somebody was telling them off. Grrrrr

Anyway, I completely understand Gypsy!!
