Bye Bye Vegas Dreams...

*sigh*

Well, so much for my first trip to Vegas! Since "other mom" works for the airline, she and dad fly free and I fly really cheap. the catch is, we have to fly standby. The day before, it looked really good...plenty of open seats on a couple flights and not too many people registered.

Ah, but then....the first flight of the day gets cancelled. The first COMPLETELY FULL flight. All 200 people get bumped to the empty seats on other flights, which become overbooked. So chances of us getting on go *flush* right down the toilet.

Bugger.

Well, we'll just go in July, when I have time off again.

Meant I got to stay in town and have Christmas actually on Christmas day!

And I had LOTS of fun chatting with the Capt'n and BlackWidow last night. ;)

That toally sucks about the Vegas trip!! I read in the paper yesterday that like 30 Delta flight attendants didn't show up for work on Christmas and no one really knew WHY!!! So, they had to cancel a ton of flights. they did say that a bunch of people are really sick, but, it was noted that Atlanta doesn't really have any more outbreaks of flu than any other place... I think they just didn't want to work, I mean, what are they going to do? Fire them? If they did that than dozens more flights would be cancelled and they would have to start from scratch hiring people!! That would cost tons of money!

Anyway, that's neither here nor there. You'll get to Vegas sometime, I just know it! And win tons of money!!!
