My ex-roommate would know. It was she who told me about the planet "Chiron," which apparently plays hell on people's emotions in the world of astrology but which I definitely don't remember learning about in Astronomy class.

That's because Chiron is not really a planet...it's actually been classified as a comet, though the astrologers call it, more poetically/inaccurately, "a rogue planet", which symbolizes a sort of dual nature or something, I think. At first I thought you were referring to Pluto's orbiting body, Charon, which has sparked controversy between astronomers that say it's a moon and those that say it's technically too small to be a moon (of course, lots of people still argue that Pluto shouldn't even be classified as a planet, blah-blah-blah).
