Well, despite the nasty weather, and the annoying scheduling crap, it seems that Memorial Day/Invasion weekend 2005 at GARF was a success! I hope everyone had a fantastic time, and safe journeys home.

Highlights (for me) include:

Wenches and friends on the Crow’s Nest and the slide

captnsparrow presenting me with my very own Sting replica (the sword from LOTR, not the singer)

The successful Peasant Revolution!

Fun with trumpet fanfares at front gate (including Superman and Monty Python)

Having a pub full of wenches and rogues

Fantastic kudos from beatrizwench (who looked smashing in her middle-easterns)

ladychevalier in TQA colors…she looked adorable in my muffin hat!

Dancing with ladychevalier at drum circle, and the Solid Gold line

supergoober singing "Three Drunken Maidens" in a happy drunken state

supergoober doing her best "Rosemary Quench" imitation during "Grape Stomping" and "Sails of Silver," on Saturday and Sunday when Rivka was graduating

Menches on benches, Cows with Guns, "Bed"lam Boys (dude, Marcus in curlers! HA!), and all the other silliness of Monday’s Pub Sing

Pete’s spur of the moment protest of Joni, and her amazing comeback (I wish I could think on my feet as fast as yamguitar and supergoober!)

Lyrica Broadsides’ cameo at Sunday’s Pub Sing to sing "Olde Newcastletown"


I had a huge list in my head last night, and I know I’m forgetting stuff. I can’t wait to start seeing other people’s reports!

Oh my, how could you have forgotten the "engagement scenario"? That was so funny. And the punishments all three days. There were so many fun things, it definitely is difficult to remember them all. But definitely a memorable Memorial Day weekend.
