Saturday I worked a long and boring day, but am glad that the reason I did so was so [livejournal.com profile] froofie could see Keane at Music Midtown and she had a GREAT time. :)
Missed out on seeing [livejournal.com profile] ladychevalier dance Saturday night, but met up with her and Chaz, my folks, and [livejournal.com profile] captnsparrow (who represented for me at the belly dance show, thanx sweetie!) afterwards for a late dinner. We were all so hungry that several of us ate too fast, resulting in upset tummies. [livejournal.com profile] ladychevalier-hope you're doing better!

Sunday I got to sleep in much with my sweetie, and then we got up and went shopping! w00t! Also had a meeting with my TQA bandmates-an "end of GARF" wrap up, "What's next on the agenda," and CD planning. We met at one of my favorite Italian restaurants-Benedetti's in Decatur. YUM! Fried calamari appetizer, ravioli for dinner, and tiramisu for dessert. (Or tiramUsu, according to the menu.)

Unfortunately, on my way to the highway after dinner meeting, it started raining. Hard. Downpour. Me and my bad night/rain vision undershot the turn onto 85, hit the median, and slashed my tire. Spent an hour waiting for AAA to arrive, mostly on the phone with sweetie and parents. Ugh.

Spend Monday doing errands...specifically getting new tires (yay for getting car balanced and aligned so it doesn't shimmy anymore, and thanks to Gene for all the help and advice!), and getting my bridesmaid dress altered for my cousin's wedding on July 23. (Side note...discovered at TQA dinner on Sunday night that both [livejournal.com profile] yamguitar and I would be traveling to Ohio for weddings the same day! Just 2 different cities.) I was not surprised that the dress had to be hemmed. I WAS surprised that it had to be taken in at the bust. Go figure. I even remarked to the seamstress that I was surprised about that, and she said, "Yeah, you're rather busty!"

Went home, went grocery shopping with [livejournal.com profile] captnsparrow, and the two of us spent a quiet evening at home watching TV.

Enough with the boring life update. Now I'm just waiting for the painkillers to kick in. Stupid cramps.

Also, I wish the people who signed up for mailing lists would learn to write legibly. I am not in the medical profession, therefore "diciphering chicken scratch" is not in my job description.

And my chicken scratchings are why I never sing up for mailing lists *L*

[livejournal.com profile] yamguitar mentioned the "end of GARF wrap-up" meeting y'all had, and I was immediately jealous. That's one of the things that sucks about being a solo performer; you have no one to do that stuff with! I end up going, "Well... I think that went OK. I gotta write more songs for next season. And make a CD. And... OK, I'm tired of talking to myself now. I'm going to go make dinner."

We should have a "end of GARF pub sing wrap up" so you can come too. ;)

But the image of you having a meeting with yourself is very cute.

I do it all the time. We are excellent business associates, myself and I.
