Grammy update, part 3

Just got off the phone with my mom.

They did keep my grandma in the hospital overnight, because she was so out-of-it from the anesthesia. They were in the car taking her home when Mom called.

Grammy is groggy, and a bit hoarse, but in good spirits, and according to my mom, walking better than she has in about 15 years. Apparently, in addition to "cementing" the fractures, they were also able to fix some of her collapsed vertebrae, so she's gained a couple inches back and is able to stand more upright now.

I am so relieved and happy, that I'm in tears right now.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and good thoughts. They worked!

I am SO THRILLED that your Grammy is doing so well!!!!! That they were able to repair even more than expected is wonderful, and that she has come out so well- I am going to take that as a sign that the universe is leaning towards a cycle of benevolence after 32 months of depression and disaster and bad news.

You have a Kick-Ass Grammy, and I hope I get to meet her at your wedding, if not before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgot about the cats... hmm... well, there are some good hotels within 5 minutes of us (I am 5 minutes from uptown Charlotte) if the cats are a deterrent...

I do have a Kick Ass Grammy. She's the BEST! And I really hope she's able to make it to the wedding.

I hope we get to come to CRF. Still haven't heard anything official about TQA, but even if not, 'd still like to come up and visit. Thanks for the offer of a place to stay...I can always stock up on allergy meds. ;)
